Earth Year: 2125 AD
The ship is two light years away from the home planet Earth. The ship is looking for the earth-like planet, the scientists had sent them to explore. A strange phenomenon takes place as the ship nears the new planet, the planet seems to recede further away. But their instructions are to continue pursuing the new planet.
So the ship's captain continues to pursue what seems like a mirage. The captain notices that the mirage is becoming sharper and clearer if he pursues the planet in one specific direction….
Two more light years elapse before the planet comes into sharp focus. It’s land mass is clearly visible allowing them to land. Excitedly, the captain reports to the home base that the scientists are right, there are mountains and rivers on the new planet. There seems to be a well developed civilization as well.
The ship had lost contact with the base on earth but the communication equipment comes alive inexplicably as they near the new planet . The scientists had declared the ship lost in space!
When they hear the excited voice of the captain from the lost ship, the scientists are astonished! The ship's captain asks to speak to his buddy scientist Roughbottom. It takes Roughbottom only a few minutes to guess what has transpired . The ship’s GPS location shows that the ship has landed on the Tibetan plateau!
‘You idiot, you are back on earth! ‘ says Roughbottom to the excited captain. ‘You have been chasing a photograph retained by nature from the earth’s former coordinates. Have you forgotten that the universe expands faster than the speed of light?!”
‘I know Roughfy, Just pulling your leg’ as he sips Indian whisky straight from the bottle.
